Visit to Shree Kotilingeshwara Temple, Kolar, Karnataka, India

A warm welcome to all my readers!
It’s been a long time since I last wrote a blog—my previous post was back in May 2024, which makes it a 1 year and 7 months gap.

I hope my readers and followers will continue to enjoy my blogs and share their thoughts in the comments.

Today, I’m excited to write about a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Shri Kotilingeshwara Temple is renowned for its millions of Shiva lingas, making it a truly unique and fascinating place.

Let me start by sharing a few pictures—they’ll help you understand the grandeur of the temple, and I won’t have to write as much :D

If you enjoy reading, keep scrolling; if not, you can check out the video and other links at the bottom of this page.

Near By : Kolar Gold fields aka KGF. Famous for movie shootings & Gold Mining in past.

Basic Amenities :

Restaurant - Local cuisines like dosa and idli are readily available, and there are highway restaurants for quick meals. A few lodges and hotels are also nearby, but staying overnight isn’t really necessary if you’re just traveling to or from Bangalore.

Restrooms - Not recommended to use, and I don’t believe restrooms are available there—I haven’t used any myself.

Parking : Paid parking is available and more or less mandatory, as they collect ₹30–₹50 at the entrance and give you a parking slip.

I hope I’ve covered all the essential details. Feel free to leave a comment if I’ve missed anything or to share your feedback.
